LavaLock® has engineered a DIRECT REPLACEMENT gasket for the new 2017 & Up Kamado Joe wire mesh oven gaskets. As great as the new KJ classic wire mesh fiberglass gaskets are, over time, all kamado grill gaskets need to be replaced. This is because of excessive grease or flattening. Our replacement KJ gasket kit includes TWO 7.5 ft sections of gasket, seam tape and a tube of LavaLock® red rtv for the ultimate bond.
LavaLock® DurOG 2017 & Up replacement KJ Kamado gaskets are engineered with quality in mind. A superior gasket kit. Fits all KJ's 2017 and up. Direct replacement. Glues on with our RTV adhesive and self cures. 15 ft total.

What kind of tape is the seam tape? Is it something that can be bought standalone?

I don't know what the specific specs are for the tape and unfortunately we do not have for sale separately. The tape comes packaged with the seam tape.
